Students wish for changes on campus

Think about one of the first wish lists you made when you were young. In those days, a lot of planning went into a good wish list. There were the items that were a bit more practical and in touch with reality, such as a winter hat or a set of gloves. Then there were always the crazy items you knew you’d never get, but still asked for anyways, like a pony or unlimited piles of candy. Although we are a bit older now, we managed to create a wish list that appealed to commuter and on-campus students alike.

For some Cardinals, their wish lists included more practical items. The first wish is one all athletes and fitness enthusiasts can appreciate.

“If there is one thing I would put on a ‘wish list’ it would be extended gym and Rec hours,” said senior Denzel Thompson.

Another fellow NCC student hopes for a change in the printing system on campus.

“I can’t think of anything big to change, but I guess, for the most part, the printers work fine,” said senior Megan Byrom. “I just wish they were always ready with paper and ink.”

Of course, we can’t forget about the “ponies” of our wish list. Stephanie Nowak, a commuter, said it would be great to have more commuter parking.

“I know it would be very difficult to find the space, but it would be great if there was a large parking complex for just NCC students,” Nowak said.

Commuter Alexis Gramera, who is very involved on campus, wishes there was as an additional building on campus to be dedicated as a student lounge.

“If I had to pick one thing I would want for campus it would be that I want an area where more kids could hang out,” said Gramera. “Like a lounge with TVs, tables, and couches. It would be really awesome to have something that enables us to get to know more students on campus.”

Lastly, to leave you a with a wish we probably all want for this chilly winter term, freshman Colin Lund said, “I really wish North Central would have its own heated dome around the whole campus in the winter.”

No matter how realistic or not so realistic our hypothetical wish list may be, Cardinals all around campus do not fail to come up with mind-boggling ideas to make the college different from others.
