5 crazy fashion trends for men this spring

Everyone talks about women’s Fashion Week, but never about men’s fashion. Maybe the reason people aren’t talking is because some of the trends are just downright outrageous.

Here are the top five craziest menswear trends straight from the recent spring runways in no particular order since they’re all equally bad in their own way:

  1. menswear 1Suits are always popular staples when it comes to menswear. This spring you can achieve a Harry Styles-esque look with a trendy floral suit or get those Beetlejuice vibes with the also popular striped suit style. Other popular trends were brocade suits for those who are interested in looking like a couch, and its wrinkled texture provides that “I woke up like this” ambiance.
  2. Now I love a good jumpsuit, but I would not love to see it on a guy. The day-appropriate version of a onesie was a new trend for men this season. What makes this “trend” even better? The most popular versions were all denim. A men’s denim onesie. Hot, right?
  3. menswear 2Lace has long been a popular spring fabric for women, and that rang true again this year. But this year lace was also a popular trend for men. Picture lace-only shirts and pants that bare all. Now picture the guy next to you in class wearing one. I don’t think I’d be able to hold it together. Another show-all trend that became “stylish” for menswear this season was sheer shirts. This trend is only for the very, very bold.
  4. I personally love this lingerie-for-day trend that walked down many a womenswear runway, but the pajama-inspired trend does not translate well on men. And honestly, what guy really wears actual pajamas anyways?
  5. Lastly, fashion houses took a cue from NASCAR this season. Designs of racing-inspired attire which ranged from a quirky racecar print on a sweater to a full on racing suit complete with racing gloves.
