Not often the ‘what,’ but the ‘who,’ says student storyteller

NCC student Juan Munoz, shares his story on the monologue he delivered at The Union on Jan. 17. Munoz said, “What I want the audience to take away from this (piece) is the way that we as audience members take in a piece of work.”

Munoz, one of the winners of the student monologue contest, said, “it’s not necessarily the story being told, it’s how we are conditioned in who can tell the stories.”

In regards to future projects, “I’m submitting into the student-directed series next term,” said Munoz. “That will be a show called ‘Almost Living’ (where) I touch upon just the issues that bother me.”
