Once again the men’s track and field program rounds off its indoor season with a national championship. Soon the program will get to hang its 27th banner around the Al B. Carius indoor track.

The day started off with Adam Poklop in the high jump. Later in the night Zach Hird and Dhruvil Patel competed in the 3,000-meter run. Patel and Hird started off in the back of the pack. Soon enough, Patel was kicking down his opponents for a seventh-place finish and second all-American honor of the weekend.

The final event on the track was the men’s 4×400-meter run. NCC’s relay, consisting of Peyton Piron, Zach Kirby, Ben Norman and Daniel Spaccapaniccia, fought strong for their third place finish earning their spot on the podium.

By continually adding points throughout the weekend, the men’s team finished off strong with a national championship tie with the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.
