When comparing middle school and college, it is beyond our expectations. Some may think college is just classes, homework and sleeping, but it’s way more than that.

When North Central students were asked, “Do you like the mascot Chippy?” most of them answered with yes. “Oh yeah, I love him,” Steve Fanega said. “Yeah, he’s pretty good,” Megan Pacetti said.

In our experience in the middle school, A.V.M , most of us think our mascot, the Viking, is fine. “We are Vikings!!”

We also asked, “What happens when you are late for class?” The best responses were: “They take participation points off,” Mackenzie Smolik said. “I walk in slowly and pretend I was there the whole time,” Steve Fanega also replied.

In our experience, if we are late to class we will get a tardy and if we get three tardies we get a referral.

We also asked: “What do you do in your free time?” Dominique George answered, “I have a church group, so I do that.” Some other responses were sleep and hanging out with friends. Mackenzie Smolic said that she does cheer.

At A.V.M. we have school for six hours and then after-school sports or activities or anything else.

So as you can see, college and middle school are two very different things.
