Fall makeup trends: natural, everyday and dramatic looks

0

As the leaves are falling, autumnal colors are taking over the beauty scene. This season is all about warm-toned eyes, vampy lips and daring pops of color. The 2017 trends vary from the no-makeup look to neutral smokey eyes. You can also find the bold, foiled shadows and dark matte lips.

Natural looks
With the falling temperatures and rising scents of pumpkin-flavored everything, it can be tempting to stay curled up in bed. Getting up at 6 a.m. to put on a full face of makeup doesn’t always happen, and that’s okay. The
makeupnatural, minimal-to-no makeup look is in, so focus on your nighttime skincare routine and spend those chilly mornings in bed. If you want to put on some product, go for a berry-colored lip (Tarte Lip Sculptor, $24), buildable bronzer to warm up the face (Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, $15) and a lengthening mascara to bring attention to your eyes (Maybelline Lash Sensational, $9).

Everyday looks
Whether you want everyday glam or everyday-casual, this season has brought us palettes that allow for both. The Morphe 35O2 Second Nature Palette features warm-toned browns, fiery reds and orangesmakeup ranging from ultra-matte to shimmery foil finishes. It is a versatile palette — 35 colors for just $23 — and can be used to create any type of autumnal look. Other everyday fall favorites include the Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette, the Natasha Denona Sunset Palette and the controversial Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette if you’re feeling risky. If not, the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette is filled with rich, berry-toned shades you can try out for days spent apple-picking or nights spent haunted housing.

Dramatic looks
For a night out on the town, or a romantic evening, a flair for the dramatic is a fall favorite this year. Foiled eyeshadows, matte lips, blinding highlights and shimmer-everything products are in, and alone or paired together, they lend themselves to an attention-grabbing look. Try out multidimensional products like Rihanna’s Fenty Galaxy Collection for holographic shimmers, or Urban Decay’s Heavy Metals Eyeshadow Palette for dazzling eyes. For the perfect pout, swipe on a matte liquid lipstick from the Kylie Cosmetic’s fall line or go full-glam with Kat Von D’s Everlasting Glimmer Veil liquid lipsticks. Dare to be dramatic and reach for out-of-the-ordinary products – ’tis the season to be experimental.
