Recently, the Chronicle provided coverage of the NCC Japan club’s kendo demonstration in Heininger Auditorium. The event allowed NCC students to learn the basics of kendo, a form of Japanese martial arts.
In the process of learning, students were given the option of testing out the moves for themselves, trying on the gear typically worn during competition, and watching two students/demonstrators trained in kendo face-off against one another.
The video features the top 10 plays from the face-off between NCC’s Joshua Rhodes and Illinois State University’s Dan Walther.
