C.U.A.B. put in a lot of effort this year to make homecoming memorable for everyone. They provided many activities and events to keep students excited throughout the week.
The largest events took place on Saturday, Oct. 18 that included the homecoming parade, football game with North Central winning 53-23 to Carthage, and the dance, which both alumni and students enjoyed immensely.
However, there were smaller but equally as entertaining and enjoyable events throughout the week to lead up to Saturday.
Tuesday, Oct. 14 homecoming court was announced in Smith Hall, which included seniors Rob Wegley, Mark Vear, Zach Laidley, Logan LaRocque, Mark Miller, Taylor Harrison, Nikkil Young, Allie Youngren, Kailey Scholosser, and Sarah Schoonhoven.
Wednesday, Oct. 15 in WAC, CUAB hosted a ‘Munch around the World’ event, which sampled cuisine from different places around the world.
A scavenger hunt took place at Jefferson Commons on Thursday, Oct.16. Most students made s’mores around the bonfire, and just enjoyed each other’s company. About 10 students joined in the hunt for objects around campus and competed for prizes.
Friday, Oct. 17 was the night of the homecoming concert in Wentz Concert Hall, which included performances by Jazz combo, Cardinal Chorus, Women’s Choral, Chamber Singers Concert Choir, and the Concert Winds. The concert went a little over an hour and was completely sold out. After the concert a reception was held in the lobby of Wentz to mingle with the performers.
