The North Central College community lost Max Boheme to hypothermia last Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, in Manitowoc, WI., during a kayak fishing tournament. Boheme was an undergraduate student during the spring term of 2015 and was studying marketing at North Central.
Boheme loved fishing and was also an avid musician and outdoorsman. He incorporated his love of the outdoors into his work as an employee at Bass Pro Shops in Bolingbrook.
In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, Boheme’s parents said he also worked at Little Friends Life Skills Training Center, a school for children with autism, and said that Boheme had a passion for his work there. In lieu of flowers, the Boheme family is asking that memorials be made to this center.
Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes and Crematory’s obituary notes that Boheme is survived by his parents, Konstantin and Patricia Boheme, his sister, Sasha Boheme, his grandfather, Walter Boheme, and his girlfriend, Kathryn Carroll.
There will be a memorial visitation for Boheme this Sunday, Sept. 20, from 1-4 p.m., which will include a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes in Naperville at 516 S. Washington St.
