3 ways to style a blanket scarf

1

In case you haven’t heard, blanket scarves are a winter must-have. But what are they, you ask? Blanket scarves are oversized scarves that come in any shape. If you’re living in places like Chicago, New York, or even in Alaska, blanket scarves can come in handy.

They are usually made out of wool and are sometimes handcrafted. Blanket scarves bring warmth, coziness and comfort. However, even though they keep you warm, they can also be a pain to style. So without further ado, here are three ways you can achieve a distinct look with blanket scarves:

1. The “Let-It-Go” Style

This style brings simplicity to your outfit. Whenever you’re feeling too lazy to do a fancy style, the “Let-It-Go” style is your best option; it is quick and easy. Here are three steps to creating this simple look:

  1. Drape your scarf around your neck.
  2. Let the ends of your scarf go.
  3. Smile for the camera.

2. The “Baby It’s So Cold Outside” Style

This style is dedicated to all foreign students from across the world, especially those who have been living under the sun. This style is perfect to use to keep you warm. All you have to do is follow the steps below and I promise you won’t freeze:

    1. Fold the two ends of your scarf.
    2. Wrap it around your neck.
    3. Put the two loose ends inside the hole on the other end.
    4. Now, you have accomplished the “Baby-It’s-So-Cold-Outside” style.

3. The “Classic 50s Twist” Style

This style is perfect to do when you want to accomplish the “Marilyn Monroe” look. But of course, don’t forget to put on your red lipstick. Monroe’s look is fierce. She was never afraid of how people looked at her. She was confident and comfortable with how she looked and how she dressed. In order to pull this style off, be confident.

Here are the steps that will guide you to a classy look:

    1. Put the scarf around your neck.
    2. Have one end longer than the other.
    3. Choose one end and put that end around your neck.
    4. Pull one end down. As you pull, notice that the scarf gets a little tighter around your neck. Let the other end stay where it is.
    5. And there you have the “Classic 50s Twist.”

Remember that you can rock any style stated above as long as you know what kind of look you want to give your outfit. Whether you want to look simple or classy, you have to be confident. Give blanket scarves a try; the bigger, the better.
