Despite Munich’s Oktoberfest ending on Oct. 3, Naperville’s very own Oktoberfest will take place this weekend at Naper Settlement. Starting with Polka Party Friday on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m., the weekend is sure to be full of fun events for everyone. Live music is booked throughout the entire event, which runs from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, 12-10 p.m. on Saturday, and from 12-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Saturday is sure to be rockin’ with four rock ‘n’ roll bands booked throughout the day and family-friendly activities from noon until 3 p.m. Sunday culminates with traditional German Oompah music playing all day. Entrance to the event is through the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center with communal tables situated under a heated tent with beer and traditional German food on offer over the whole weekend.
Tickets for the event are $10 for youths and $15 adults – admittance is free for Naper Settlement members – with all proceeds benefiting the Naperville Heritage Society. Naper Settlement is located at 523 S. Webster St. with parking available at the Naperville Municipal Center.
