Eins, zwei, drei may be the way to count from one to three in German but, thanks to the heated tent covering the event, everybody at Naperville’s Oktoberfest was eins, zwei, dry, despite the persistent rain on Friday night.
Munich’s Oktoberfest is well known around the world and, from Oct. 6 through Oct. 8, Downtown Naperville was lucky enough to get a little taste of the celebration. Held on the grounds at Naper Settlement, there was cafeteria-style German food served alongside plenty of German-style beers and a selection of wines — not to mention a healthy dose of excitement from the crowd and a massive helping of passion-for-polka from Alpine Thunder.
