Naperville’s newest streetwear consignment store, Central Hype, opened its doors to a frenzy of young and eager fans. Helping the store kick off its opening, streetwear lifestyle vlogger, Blazendary, and his meet and greet, were the main cause of the long lines and need for security. Central Hype is the newest shoe store to open up in Downtown Naperville so it was only fitting to have Blazendary, known for his sneaker collection and reviews on trendy sneakers, make an appearance at the grand opening.
The meet and greet was from 1 to 4 p.m. but people were lined up at the doors as early as 6 a.m. Only 30 minutes into the event, tensions were growing high due to issues of people trying to cut in front of the line causing security to become involved.
Arriving in style, the 17-year-old high schooler showed up in an all-black Lamborghini Gallardo, which gained the attention of both those lining up to meet the YouTube star and those just grabbing a coffee at nearby Starbucks.
Jaeden, 12, had his mom drive him from Michigan in order to have the opportunity to meet the high school YouTube star. “He’s so cool and has such a cool style. He’s just awesome,” Jaeden had to say. Another 12-year-old boy, Jackson, his mom and grandmother drove from Wisconsin for his chance to meet Blazendary.
