Chicagoland’s first pour-your-own beer establishment is opening a location in Naperville later this spring. Red Arrow Tap Room offers an innovative form of dining service where patrons can serve themselves beer and cider straight from the tap, and it’s set to open at 216 S. Washington St.
Red Arrow features 48 self-serve taps that include a variety of beverages, including wine, charged by the ounce. Red Arrow Tap Room says the process is “similar to filling your tank at a gas pump.” You’ll only be charged for the precise amount you pour, and you’re welcome to pour as much or as little of any type of beer that you please.
Most of the beer, cider and wine on their pour-your-own tap wall is locally sourced and certified independent. The 48 self-pour taps are constantly rotating, giving customers a new experience every time they come in.
If drinking isn’t your thing, Red Arrow Tap Room has a wide assortment of food options as well. Customers can choose barbecue-style entrees varying from smoked meats and sandwiches to flatbread pizzas and build-your-own bowls.
The food is also self-serve; you can place your order via tableside tablet or from their mobile app. However, if you’d prefer to place your food order with a server, you can. Bonus! Tipping is neither required nor expected at Red Arrow Tap Room. In fact, their website explicitly states, “please, no tipping!”
Red Arrow Tap Room has options for beer, cider, wine, cocktail and food lovers alike! It is a family-friendly restaurant that utilizes the latest technology to ensure customer satisfaction and timely service. Expect to see a review from lifestyle editor Tom Miller in the near future.
