Barista finds the beauty in brewing

For Kaitlyn Roybal ’19, being a barista was something she always wanted to do. After taking a coffee class taught by professor Gerald Thalmann, she was able to explore an area of interest that ended up being a passion. From working at the Boilerhouse Cafe on campus to Sparrow Coffee in downtown Naperville, Roybal became more passionate about the history and complexity that goes into each cup of coffee she makes.
