Open Table is for the open-minded. It is a biweekly college podcast to help people share their opinions on social issues freely. If you enjoy listening to scholars with different views, this is your podcast.
In this episode, Chaplain Eric Doolittle talks about LGBTQIA+. He speaks about the mistranslation in the Bible (Luke 17:34) and the importance of context. One of the reasons Doolittle supports the LGBTQIA+ community is because Matthew said, “love your neighbor as yourself” (22:37–39). In addition, he apologizes for not always being loving of LGBTQIA+ in the past and encourages people to love and respect those who are different.
