A recent exhibition by the Art and Design Department showcased artwork created by NCC professors. The art pieces on display expressed a number of ideas through different mediums.
Sculpture, print and embroidery, to name a few, exhibited art created from a personal element, depicting memories of family.
Artwork displayed during the exhibition’s run, unified itself as an expression of the creativity and histories of several NCC professors. The question presented in the artist statement of Christine Rabenold, professor of art, seems to echo this sentiment, “How do memories and materials collide in this conjoined space?”
