About the night
As war rages on in eastern and southern Ukraine, some Ukrainian artist have begun to tour to raise money for their country’s armed forces. Bez Obmezhen is currently touring their ‘Brave like Ukraine’ show throughout North America. For their show at Joe’s Live in Rosemont on Oct. 2, Bez Obmezhen partnered with Help Heroes of Ukraine, a local non-profit group, to raise funds. Throughout the night Help Heroes of Ukraine sold merchandise that included military style patches, shirts and held an auction. Co-founder and Director Roman Zabolotobskyy shared a rough total sales of $50,000. The proceeds will go to the purchases of cars and drones, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Help heroes of Ukraine
Help Heroes of Ukraine was founded the day after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. Throughout the conflict they have been able to provide funding to the front lines. Their main three categories of aid are military protective equipment, humanitarian aid, infrastructure rebuilding. In the coming months many other Ukrainian bands plan to come to the U.S. to keep raising funds for the Ukrainian forces.
