Not many things are as profoundly complex as music. People buy t-shirts with their favorite band’s logo emblazoned on the front, get tattoos of influential lyrics and wait hours upon hours in line in order to get a glimpse of the artists they support. If they are lucky, maybe they will even get to meet the bands and let them know what it means to be a fan.
Music tastes can be broad. Some like the bubblegum sweetness of pop, others enjoy the loud screams and guitars of punk rock or the female-empowerment of women-led rap music. Though some people may just be casual listeners of music, others will say that without it their lives would be very different.
