1. Research. Find out which stores have sales and applicable coupons available to help you get a better deal.

2. Shop Clearance. Don’t be afraid to browse through the clearance rack! You can save a ton of money just by shopping smart!

3. Retail Connections. Ask if your friends that work in retail if they can hook you up with an employee discount. After all, what are friends for?

4. Be realistic. If your budget is $50, make sure you are shopping at stores that are geared towards your price range.

5. Bring a friend. Your friend might find something cute and in your budget that you may have overlooked.

Old is New Again

1. Accessorize. Try mixing a classic silhouette with contemporary accessories. Take an old bridesmaid dress and accessorize it. Claire’s or Charming Charlie’s have inexpensive pieces that will make your outfit pop!

2. Be Thrify. Look at the gently used dresses at the thrift store. Be ready to sift through mounds of clothes, but your patience will be so worth it.

3. Raid Mom’s closet. Who doesn’t want to wear vintage? You can probably find some cute things, without the price tag.

4. Go online shopping. If you don’t have the patience to deal with hustle and bustle of shopping in department stores, try buying a dress online. Chances are, you can find a coupon to use with your purchase.
