It is currently 4:30 p.m. on a chilly Wednesday evening as the doors of Kaufman dining hall promptly open to hungry North Central students. The clang of dishes and silverware can be heard from the kitchens as chefs busily prepare and cook up NCC students meals. Students mingle in line as they eagerly wait to dish up their plates. Tonight, the chefs have prepared a variety of dishes varying from omelets and hash browns to pizza and pasta. The pastry chef has just taken out a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies from the warm oven, which attracts students looking for a sweet dessert after their dinners. Soft piano music is playing in the background as students relax and enjoy their meals while chatting with their friends.
