Have you ever taken finals before? Now that it’s week 10, students are starting to begin studying for finals next week. Students begin to study at different times, from a week before to the night before. Different majors mean different finals for everybody. Some people need to do different things for finals like PowerPoints or speeches. Some people have more challenging tests than other people.

“You do a lot of studying and kind of reflect on the entire term and make sure you have been keeping up with your stuff,” said one NCC student.

For a computer science major, finals may look different than other students. “It’s not much different than any other test you have to take, you just have to make sure you’re prepared for what you study. Those finals are no different than the other finals it’s just a lot of writing out programs on paper rather than typing on a keyboard.  Everybody is different, I tend to start studying for finals about a week and a half in advance. I go through all the material and anything I don’t know by now I would just go to my professor for help.”

Sometimes it will take a long time, professors like to make them very difficult you have to really think about what to write.

Finals can be good because you are reflecting on your term and you get to see what you have learned throughout. Students also learn what they have struggled with and get help when they need it.
