Get a workout routine in quarantine

With COVID-19 barring us from pretty much everything that was a part of our daily routine, we have really tried to make our lives feel normal in this irregular time. Going to the gym is something that some of us did daily. Even though the gyms are closed, that doesn’t mean exercising and staying healthy is canceled. So, put the chips down and move your furniture aside because YouTube has some workout videos to help you realize just how easy you went on yourself when you went to the gym.

1. 20 Minute Full Body Workout with Pamela Riff

The best part of all of these workouts is that you do not need any equipment, but it is still incredibly intense. This video provides an intense 20-minute full-body workout that really puts your core strength to the test. It will have you on the floor holding your stomach by the end as your abs will be on fire. Just try not to be discouraged when you see the instructor barely out of breath with no sweat while you practically soak your carpet while reaching for your inhaler.

2. 20 Minute Full Body Workout with BullyJuice

This is another 20-minute, intense full-body workout with a good balance of cardio and core. The lower body will really be burning after this one as the jumping jacks mixed with squats really takes a toll, but can provide huge gains if you stay consistent with these workouts. You may look a little silly when you are doing a jump rope motion with no jump rope, but the burn is real and it is intense.

3. Full Body Workout Beginner Edition

If you are using quarantine to start a workout routine, first of all, a round of applause for you, but this workout video can help you ease into high-intensity workouts like the ones mentioned before. The movements look to engage one part of the body at a time instead of multiple so it’s easy to get the hang of and do the workout correctly so it’s beneficial. Cardio is also present, but not at the same intensity. It provides a good challenge for beginners who wish to lose some weight and ease into a regular workout routine.

4.  Anxiety relief yoga

Working out is not always about going as hard as you can for as long as you can. Yoga can provide a good recovery day for the muscles that you have worked and can also relieve the stress from the bad news we are hearing every day at a time like this. This yoga video provides poses that can relax the body and the muscles and allow breathing that can help alleviate stress. This routine can be done multiple times a day if needed.

5. Deep Core yoga

Along with breathing and alleviating stress, yoga is also great to build a strong core. This video shows a routine that also helps regulate breathing while helping you work your core. It may not provide the same intensity as the workout videos discussed earlier, but anything to build the core is great along with some breathing for stress relief.
