The program will consist of individualized semi-self-paced learning. Students will learn the importance of technology in movement therapy along with becoming a clinician. Also, the program contains an integrated curriculum including health, science and communication.

Dr. Sara Scholtes is leading the program, having over 15 years of experience teaching physical therapy in addition to having worked in the field.

We are setting up an environment where it’s about success. We believe can do it differently in a way where it can result in a student who is prepared to hit the ground running day one in whatever they wish to do” said Scholtes.

Goals for the program

Therefore, the program’s goals are broad. Staff goals include supporting students for serving their community as experts. Also ensuring the success of every learner. Additionally, personal growth is centered around helping impact the lives of others.

Students in the program will be able to sit in the licensure examination, pending the program’s accreditation. Applications to join the program for January 2023 are currently open, and therefore the first group will graduate in May 2025.

Informational meeting

On September 21, NCC will be holding an informational session for interested students. They will meet in the Health Science and Engineering building, in room 206. A later event is also coming for off-campus students.
