After the long awaited construction of the parking pavilion, which opens more than 500 parking spots for NCC students and faculty, it was finally unveiled on Feb. 2. NCC commemorated the grand opening by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony took place at the pavilion’s Southwest entrance. Access to the pavilion was paused from 12-1:15 p.m in respect for the proceedings.

Renowned members of the NCC and Naperville community like the Mayor of Naperville, Ill., Scott Wehrli, Ill. State Senator Laura Ellman, President of the Board of Trustees Dr. Holly Humphrey and NCC President Dr. Anita Thomas joined and gave memorable speeches. They gave thanks to the team who made the parking pavilion possible, told personal anecdotes and celebrated the new addition to NCC’s campus.

Many individuals of the Cardinal community joined, listened in on the speeches, laughed and celebrated newfound achievements for the college. Afterwards, students, staff, faculty and administration came together for coffee, cookies and each others’ presence.
