The Student Governing Association (SGA) had a brief Week 4 meeting to continue discussing plans for the term. Campus Safety, service projects and board meetings were just a few things touched upon at the meeting. See below for the complete agenda.

  • SGA is working with Campus Safety on parking ticket appeals. Students should check their inbox for an email sent by Jordan Newcomer at the beginning of the school year regarding where students can park on campus without receiving a parking ticket.
  • SGA is currently setting up things for the advancement fund.
  • Last week was the budget meeting for events and clubs.
  • Kaufman Dining Hall will be having pumpkin painting and a nacho bar on Oct. 25.
  • The Cultural Events Committee is looking for a student representative.
  • SGA is looking to complete a service project within the near future.
  • The Board of Trustees meeting will be held on the day of Homecoming, Oct. 27.
  • Green Scene will be running their “Exercise for the Earth” walk/run this Sunday, Oct. 7 at 8 a.m. at Jefferson Plaza. Everyone is welcome to join and can come any time before 11 a.m. Bagels and apples will be provided afterward.

All students are encouraged to attend SGA meetings and share their opinions about student and campus life. Meetings are held every Thursday at noon in room 210 in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
