SGA enters term with many initiatives

0

The first SGA meeting of winter term covered a few new topics as well as a continuation of goals and their progress from the fall. The full agenda is listed below:

  • The possibility of locations in downtown Naperville offering student discounts is currently being reviewed.
  • Some highlighted restaurants and locations for potential discounts are Five Guys, Mod Pizza and Sparrow Coffee
  • Campus Safety and SGA members will continue to meet this term to review parking ticket appeals.
  • The lot next to Burger King on Washington is still in the process of becoming a park. The process is currently delayed because the city of Naperville is working with the state of Illinois for funding.
  • Students have requested designated “quiet study spaces” on campus so SGA is looking into new potential spaces on campus.
  • A group of student ambassadors is in the works called the “Cardinal Food Crew” to provide feedback on dining experiences on campus.

Students are encouraged to attend SGA meetings every Thursday at noon in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship room 212 to voice their opinions and learn about campus events.
