The Student Governing Association held their Week 7 meeting of the term and continued to fine-tune details of ongoing projects such as the student discount program for downtown Naperville restaurants. Below is the full agenda:

  • Members discussed an SGA-sponsored opportunity for students to have professional headshots taken around campus. Members will comprise a list of student photographers before they make any decisions, and they set an approximate date for early Spring term.
  • SGA will hold and sponsor Safe Zone Training early Spring term, likely during community hours.
  • The Chippy Perks program is still in the works. Ten restaurants have been contacted and a list of other potential locations is being developed.
  • Representatives from SGA met with faculty from different departments across campus to discuss current projects.
  • Green Scene will be partnering with SGA to move forward the No Idling Policy on campus.
  • SGA is looking for people to join the Parking Appeals Committee which meets on Thursdays at 11 a.m. Any interested students should contact Campus Safety for more information.

Students are welcome to attend SGA meetings on Thursdays at noon in room 212 of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship to voice their opinions and learn about campus events.
