Theater department adapts to COVID-19 restrictions

NCC’s theater department has had to get more creative when it comes to producing productions. COVID-19 has closed down many theaters since March. However, NCC has gotten creative to give students ways to perform throughout this year. The theater department has been experimenting with ways to produce shows virtually and has been successful so far. The students are especially excited because friends and family can tune in from anywhere.

Although with the success, students and staff have experienced many trials and setbacks along the way. Students comment that they have been forced to become more creative with filming. It is difficult for them to separate school life from the production because “it all happens in the same chair.”

Even through hardship, students at NCC have kept positive and found many ways around the troubles they find. There are more successes in the future of NCC’s productions to come throughout COVID-19.
